I'm a Colorado native, wife, and mom to a sweet, spunky toddler daughter. Photography, for me, began as a hobby and it's something I've taken an interest in since childhood. My first camera was a Kodak 110 from a garage sale! It didn't exactly produce award winning images, but it produced great memories and sparked a life long passion!
Initially, I had aspirations to be a world famous landscape photographer shooting for the likes of National Geographic. That is, until I became aware of the reality that life came with bills and responsibilities (who knew?!). So, instead I went to college and then began a career. Over the years, I've always had a part time involvement in some aspect of photography. I worked in photo labs, took a few photography classes in college and shot for friends and family on the side. I made the decision in 2013 to step away from my corporate career and turn this into my full time profession. I worked for a few years under an award winning portrait and wedding photographer while simultaneously building LaFaye. Today I am proud to be able to follow my calling and love that I will be able to show my daughter how to follow her dreams. I am very grateful for the gift I have been given and love that I can use it to create special lasting memories for you!
